Widening and reconstruction of the Marsa-Hamrun bypass

This project, embarked on as key joint venture partners with Schembri Barbros Ltd, posed a major logistical challenge. For most of its duration, two lanes in each direction had to be kept open. Nevertheless, it was still completed eight months ahead of schedule.

Major civil works included excavation, trenching, footpath & road building, and asphalting. A new underground infrastructure was installed. Apart from shifting existing services, we installed electrical cables, storm water and drainage facilities, street lighting and CCTV. Finishing works included the fitting in of gantries, traffic signs, road markings and crash barriers.
